Kill Trucks
A kill truck pumps fluid at high rates and pressures directly into the wellbore to overcome formation pressure and stop flow — a process commonly referred to as "killing" the well. This is a critical step before any service or maintenance work can safely begin on a live well. American Safety Services operates kill trucks throughout the Permian Basin, providing operators with reliable well control support for both scheduled service work and emergency response.
What We Do
-
Our kill truck services cover a range of well control and pressure management operations:
-
Well Control & Kill Operations — Pumping kill fluid into the annulus or tubing to bring a well under control prior to service, workover, or emergency intervention. Our units maintain sustained pump rates to ensure the well remains stable throughout the job.
-
Casing & Tubing Pressure Testing — Applying controlled pressure to casing strings and production tubing to verify integrity before returning a well to service. This is a standard and essential step in workover and completion operations.
-
Flow Line Testing — Testing surface flow lines and piping systems for leaks or pressure loss under operating conditions.
-
Well Stimulation Support — Providing fluid pumping services to support acidizing, chemical treatments, and other downhole stimulation work.
-
Wireline Support — Holding back-pressure on the casing annulus during wireline operations to maintain well control and protect personnel and equipment at the wellhead.
