Safety Technicians
Effective site supervision is more than being present on a job, it requires trained eyes, clear authority, and the experience to recognize hazards before they become incidents. American Safety Services provides dedicated site supervisors to oil and gas operators throughout the Permian Basin, giving your operations a consistent, qualified safety presence that keeps work moving and workers protected.

Technical Safety Personnel
Our site supervisors are embedded directly into your operation, serving as the primary safety authority on location. Responsibilities include:
-
Daily Safety Oversight — Monitoring all work activities on location to ensure compliance with company safety programs, site-specific requirements, OSHA regulations, and operator rules.
-
Pre-Job Safety Meetings — Leading tailgate safety meetings and job safety analyses (JSA/JHA) at the start of each shift and before any new task begins to identify hazards and establish safe work procedures.
-
Permit Management — Issuing, reviewing, and closing out confined space entry permits, hot work permits, and other work authorization documents required for regulated activities on site.
-
Incident Prevention & Intervention — Identifying unsafe conditions or behaviors and taking immediate corrective action, including the authority to stop work when personnel or the environment are at risk.
-
Compliance Audits & Inspections — Conducting regular site walk-arounds and equipment inspections to identify deficiencies, document findings, and track corrective actions.
-
Daily Reporting — Providing operators and management with clear, documented daily safety reports covering work activities, observations, near misses, and any corrective actions taken.
-
Coordination with Company Men & Operators — Serving as the communication link between field crews and operator representatives on all safety-related matters, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
-
Emergency Response Coordination — Maintaining and communicating the site emergency response plan and serving as the point of contact for any emergency situation on location.
